Public and Third Sector

Our world is one in which we must bring an exceptional level of knowledge and access to informed networks if our advice to any of you is to remain credible and up to date. Combine this with our personal commitments to political debate and policy development and MJI are also in a very strong position to assist public sector and third sector organisations with a range of challenges and opportunities. We also recognise that the pace of change in public sector which might baffle the private sector at times is often just as baffling for those in the public or voluntary sector. Hence we run workshops and participate in conferences and debates at every level to both share our knowledge and learn from others. This means that we are often able to act as a highly informed sounding board for organisations concerned with amongst other things:

• Identifying and working with collaboration partners
• Developing effective Outcome Agreements
• Developing Community Planning Partnership strategies and frameworks
• Understanding and translating 'Best Value 2' into day to day activities
• Leadership Development for elected members and senior officers
• Ethics and Governance Reviews to improve democratic accountability and partnership working

We bring no particular partisan view, nor are accountable to government for our views, though many of us have backgrounds that understand the pressure of accountability and have led many of the above activities elsewhere.
