MJI has a long held interest in this area, and is an active member of the Goodison Group a private sector led forum focused on this hugely important area.

Tim O'Brien, formerly Joint Managing Director of ENTO, the Employers National Training Organisation, recently joined MJI and is leading our work in this important area.

MJI is developing a series of "Purple Papers" in partnership with leading academics to raise the temperature of debate around the multiple roles of all those partners involved in delivering the Agenda at UK and Devolved Government level

We believe, for example, that the complexity of publicly funded delivery structures for the skills agenda is letting down the private sector at a time when the private sector desperately needs clarity and direct support for maintaining employment of their existing workforce whilst developing an enhanced skills base to compete effectively in very tough times.
